I'm borrowing my mate's 2.0 Spyder at the moment. Am used to driving slightly faster cars but have to say I love it! Brilliant handling, looks lovely, hard to think of a better car for the money! Just thought I'd pop in & say hi anyway!

Glad you are enjoying it. The 916 Spider and GTV really do still look great for their age.

Just sorned mine for the winter so i can get on with a few jobs.

Handling on mine is superb, I have all the 14 rear rubber bushes poly bushed Standard new springs all round & KYB sports shocks , F/strut bar sat on 17" Teledials & a geo done at FCM. Its great fun round the sharp bends & you can feel the rear wheels kicking in on the apex...

To me, it as much fun as my TTRS at a much slower pace, in fact I appreciate it more if that doesn't sound to daft, whereas the TTRS is remapped,S-tronic etc & I sort of expect the performance & think nothing more of it...Odd I know but Alfa's get under your skin.

That sounds like a peach. I know what you mean, I have an R8 too and I wouldn't say the Alfa is any less fun. The 2.0 is no powerful so you have to plan ahead a bit! But it has such good handling you don't need to lift off for corners too much

I love my 916 Spider. Its a very different drive to the Maserati but just as fun for different reasons.

Its currently under a cover waiting for a bit of sun but I use it, with the roof down, in all temperatures. Its a great, fun, car.

I had a Maserati too, lovely car sounded amazing and didn’t deserve the poor reliability reputation
