105 - 2000 Nord compatibility
Discussion
Hi All,
A very simple question, which I think I already know the answer to, but would like reassurance from the Alfa beards if at all possible.
I have an Alfa 105 Junior GT 1600 from 1973 (IE not stepfront).
To have the car drive as I want it, I need a new clutch and pressure plate at minimum, and probably a new flywheel whilst I'm at it. I have come across an opportunity to purchase an engine from a 2000 GTV (engine code AR00512) for not a lot more than the cost of the parts above, but including a relatively new clutch, flywheel and bearing shells as well as a 5 speed gearbox.
Now, this is tempting BUT I would want to keep the gearbox in my car if I was to do it.
So... the question:
If I went ahead and made this impulse purchase, would I be able to drop the engine into my car and mate up to my existing bellhousing, use my existing manifolds (I've just bought them!), starter motor (again, new!), coil (new!) etc?
Thank you everyone
