Integrale Evo special editions.

Hi Guys,
What is everyone's opinion on the Bianca Perlata in the desirability stakes in comparison to other special edition Evo's?
What's a good one worth and what's a tatty/rotty one worth? Do they command a decent premium over standard Evo's like the other special editions do?
Thanks in advance

I'll be interested to see the replies. For me, there are only a couple of special editions that are worth any sort of premium - the Dealer's Collection and the Club Italia. The "called special because we only painted 300 cars green / blue / white / yellow" editions don't add much to the package, for me.
They're great cars, and the Bianco Perlato and Blu Lagos look great too, I just struggle a bit to see them as intrinsically worth more than any non-special-edition.
Like I say, I'll be interested to see the other replies.

I honestly find it amazing that any of the special editions command such premiums over regular cars. They are essentially no different bar a few minor details that don't add up to that much. Martini 5 and 6's I've seen trading for nearly £80k in Italy! A lot of money for an Evo 1 with stickers and suede high backs!
To be fair, pretty much all are special now as there are few about. I would however agree that DC and club Italia are probably true Special Edition cars. When I bought my Evo2 I looked at a Lagos, it was priced much higher than mine.....much higher.
It was a lovely car don't get me wrong but I now think the money I saved has gone to help me enjoy mine more.

The value is in the rarity and whatever you want to pay for it, a Bianco Perlato will always stand out amongst the usual boring red ones. It's more than just paint, I quite like the blue leather interior too.
I was in a specialists workshop the other day who were restoring one, it looked like it was going to cost a fortune, but the owner clearly thought it worthwhile.
Verde York is another very rare one too.

Was that my old one??!! To be fair the guy selling it for me priced it with a view to it going back abroad where they were happy to pay those sort of prices. It was a lovely car don't get me wrong but I now think the money I saved has gone to help me enjoy mine more.
Back in Italy now I think

Indeed it was Stuart and it was a lovely, lovely car. I think if I was able to stretch to what he was asking, I would have a Lagos now and not a Monza! I also think IF I did own a Lagos, I would be saying "they are a special edition car"..... I'm happy with what I have though =PBack in Italy now I think

Always loved the special editions with Giallo being my fave..........until I saw the Lagos blue for the first time. That is THE one I'd have. Do like the pearl white and dealers collection red and was very surprised to find out they were Chrysler colours. More of a surprise was the final edition in Fiat Ducati van red.

ANYWAY! The post started about values etc, so....I would suggest looking about. Good BP's look to be in the 30k region from a dealer, though I do find these prices are way over the odds (don't mind being corrected here) I would think an honest car would set you back 25ish. I've not really come across a ratty example but all will have their faults regardless of what you are told.

I think you're right. The Evo 2s were already prized when they were new so they were looked after and cherised right from the start. I'd avoid any thing which had updated suspension and bigger wheels (like my old one! ) as shell is prone to cracking already ( mine hadn't!).You have to say that in Evo 2 guise they are all pretty rare. If you think they made approximately 1200 Evo 2's plus the limited editions.
3 colours red / white / blue.
I thought the majority would have been Monza red but evidently they were built in roughly the same numbers. That means a standard Evo 2 is only one of 400ish.
Always liked the Bianco Perlato but not keen on the blue steering wheel. My choice would be Club Italia (dream on) or a DC.
Oh yeah and I have a boring red one too. For me its the best colour.

It's all about where you are with it I suppose, at a car meet or driving down your local street.
I would like to know the truth about how many Giallo Ginestras were made, it's always been noted that there seem to be a lot more than 220 of them around.....

I knew about the suspension, but are you saying that 17" wheels cause same problem? I've just put Speeedlines on mine...I think you'll find the Giallo Ginestra (Broom Yellow) was initially a limited edition run of 220 units but as Lancia received so many requests they just carried on making it. Hence the reason you don't see them with a numbered plaque by the gear lever.
Sold my Giallo Evo 2 nearly ten years ago and still miss it.

I think that the rarity now means, as one other poster said, they are all special. I had a Dealers Collection and it was really very nice - I think there were only 200 of them. But I always liked the Lagos blue.
But I think the Club Italia was/is the most desirable special.
The Yellow cars have always had a strong following - an architect from Chicago once left a note on the windscreen of my dealers collection saying he wanted to buy it if ever I decided to sell - I contacted him after about 3 weeks and he had decided he wanted to find a yellow one - and wanted to hire me to find one for him. This I did and it then took about 2 years for him to get it into the USA. Eventually it was shipped from Southampton to Halifax and he had managed to arrange some plates from the state of Maine - fixed them on and then drove it back into the US. After a while I believe he was then able to switch the car to Illinois plates.
