Hi all
Thought I'd introduce myself on here as a new GTA owner. Just picked this up in the last fortnight as a bit of a left field choice for a hot hatch. Drove a couple before settling on this one which has over standard:
- Q2 diff
- 330mm brakes
- CSC exhaust
- KW V3 coilovers
- Eibach ARB's
- Alfa GT Blackline alloys
- CDA Carbon intake

I have to say I'm really impressed. With the upgraded suspension & Q2 I can honestly say there are fewer cars I've been able to corner as hard in.

Anyway some pics:
At the Rolls Royce SS

On the driveway:

Engine bay, this is going to get some attention over the next few weeks:

Dropped it off at Autolusso yesterday for a cambelt change and full service inc spark plugs and all fluids. Whilst it's there I'm also getting catless manifolds fitted, along with silicone hoses all round, braided brake hoses, and whilst it's accessible, a new clutch. Also getting the engine tidied up with a load of powdercoating to be done and get the chrome inlet pipes tidied up. The car wasn't running badly at all however as it was due a cambelt change I opted for the belt and braces approach and then I have no 'jobs' looming in the near future.

Good to see I'm not the only one who has their GTA badge-less!

Ah I was admiring your GTA at the Rolls Royce SS, my lowly 156 ts was parked a few cars over. Lovely car mate, congrats.

I trust we'll be seeing more pictures once the work at Autolusso is done?

Yeah, just like those! What a beauty the Busso engine is, it's one of the very few engines I could look at all day and that's before you hear it!

Stunning car.

Collected today from Autolusso who did a great job.

Total bill was pretty hefty however all the jobs and potential weak points have now been upgraded / rectified so now all that's left t do is drive the wheels off it. The new catless manifolds have really changed the tone and make the car sound great at idle and it screams when going up the rev range competing with the carbon intake in the noise stakes biggrin

In the end it's had a
- full cambelt service including metal impellor water pump, new spark plugs and aircon regas
- CF2 catless manifolds and new downpipes
- Powdercoated engine parts
- Red Autolusso silicone hose kit
- Braided brake hoses
- ATE Super Racing Brake fluid
- clutch
- new oil cooler and pipes
- aircon radiator
- new header tank as the old one looked manky in the newly polished and powdercoated engine bay

I was also going to get the calipers powdercoated red again as they had faded and were looking in a bad way. When the guys took the calipers off they saw that the bleed nipples and brake hoses had cross threaded and had been covered in silicone to stop any leaks eek They were in a pretty bad way and so we decided on new brake calipers. Not exactly what I was expecting but the brakes are the last thing I want botched back together!

All in a bill I had to have a stiff drink before paying, but it could have been far worse and Ned and the guys put a lot of labour in free to help out with the final amount. However after getting back into it and knowing that the car is sound and won't need any jobs doing for a LONG time it's definitely worth it. Oh and now the engine bay looks this good is the icing on the cake biggrin

(excuse the iPhone photos but it was chucking it down with rain)

Looks stunning.

Are you still running standard rear exhaust - looking at the pics I'd guess not? I've heard a few people with the catless manifold and various sports exhaust say the CF2s make the exhaust awfully boomy.

EDIT: Ah, just re-read the first post. How is the CSC exhaust with the CF2 manifold?

For me it's fine however my other cars are a TVR Tuscan with decats and sleeved cans and an RS6 with a non resonated Miltek so it depends what you are used to.

I don't consider it boomy, it makes a great sound but I think the carbon air intake makes just as much noise smile

Nice to see your not cutting any corners. You must have spent around the same as what another GTA would have cost so good effort!
