my car still not started.

I was hit by a car,though it wasn't a fatal accident,but. The driver's door was affected,that made me pack my alpha romeo 159 for 3months. After 3months my car refused starting,i replaced the old battery with a new one,it still can't start.if I insert the key what I see on my dash board is "vehicle protection system not available"when I press the start button it makes a sound in the electric steering lock. I tried severally still showing the same thing.I am in nigeria and alpha romeo engineers are rare to find here in nigeria..I myself is an engineer but I don't specialize in alpha romeo cars.please I need to know what to do so my alpha romeo 159 can start again.
