Let's see your Alfa Romeos!

I recently grabbed a freshly rebuild 1972 Alfa Romeo GT Veloce 2000:
Insanely pretty Verde Oliva metallizzato and beige leather interior.
Giugiaro masterpiece. He left Bertone in 1965 so this facelift is probably done by stylist Piero Stroppa.
A reminder how a clean interior looks like: no distractions!

Top job, wish I had those skills.
Thanks. I did a one day mig course, bought one and spent a lot of hours welding scrap before I plucked up the courage to wield the angle grinder.
A small piece of rot in the rear inner arch is doing my head in. Tried cutting in a piece from a replacement panel but no joy. Having to form it myself and not going to plan....

I’ve done two full resto’s on my Bertone’s and there are a few compromises in the shapes of things underneath, generally only an expert would know though.
Rik Zuurbier workshop visit:
Berlinas are a thing over here. Nice GT cars with all the period details. The 116 Alfetta is converted into a sure racing car. Maybe even with 16v heads.
Two 105-series coupe in the famous mustard yellow: one racer and one street legal 2000.
Former legendary Sam van Lingen workshop packed with 60s and 70s Alfa.
For me the late 60s and early 70s are the highlight of the Alfa Romeo Autostrada gamma. Still affordable and practical.
Sourced, stripped and maybe ready for the 2023 season. Fingers crossed.

Who's doing that for you, and would you recommend them?
I have a friend that’s been restoring his own projects for years. In the end he and like minded friend went halves on an industrial unit so they could potter around with their cars, it’s in a slightly iffy part of the midlands but it’s secure and my friends set it up to meet his needs, including his own paint booth. I’ve known him for a good number of years and seen the quality of the last 4 cars he’s restored, and so he offered to help sort mine out. It’s a private set up and not a business. I’m thrilled my friend took this on for me because I couldn’t have done it myself.
If he was in business, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. However, it remains a hobby alongside a day job, he just happens to be bloody brilliant at it.
I found two more of the 2018 Spa Summer Classics meeting:
Certainly not the quickest car to haul around the Spa hills but without no doubt amongst the prettiest are these Alfa Coupes. Pretty sound track!
Hardly FIA App K but so much fun to drive. In the Bernie's Race everything goes, It's about having a good time really.

Celebrating 60 years Alfa Romeo Giulia:
About 60 Giulia dropped on this Alfa Specialists yard.
Pretty brutal street racer part 1.
Pretty brutal street racer part 1.
A handful of GT and Spider could not resist to join.
Yellow plates are a shame but in road rallye guise a Giulia looks the part.
