W204-Noisy Tyres?
Discussion
Hi all,
I recently bought a c280 sport w204 from a main dealer. Deal went ok, had a few problems which resulted in me attempting to collect the car after they had a week to prep it, only for it not to be up to scratch and i had to return a week later.
When i did get the car there were a few things that still needed doing (noisy folding mirror, exhaust and trim not lining up, steering knocking....)
I took the car and we agreed i would return it 2 weeks later with a snaging list for them to complete. In that 2 weeks i noticed that 1 rear tyre was dangerously low, and i was getting a lot of road noise around 25-30mph from the Bridgestones. I was hoping the 2 issues were related and they replaced the rear tyre. All other jobs were completed also.
2 weeks on and i still have this road noise, its loud and anyone that gets in the car picks up on it.
Has anybody else had problems with the Bridgstone RE050's? I have 17in AMG alloys....
Thanks

After doing a bit more research it seems that road noise is infact a common issue with the w204 sports. Not sure i stand anywhere with the dealer as all of the tyres are now legal, so ill have to wait until it needs a new set and get away from the Bridgestones, also Conti's i hear.
Some people have put sound insulation in the boot but i really dont want to get into that
Could be an ideal opportunity to buy some amg 18's with Pirelli tyres...must resist!
