Just seen one of these for sale, the ad claims it's the rarest AMG built with only 7 RHD cars being available.

Anyone know about these cars? It's up for £25k which seams a little steep, but then I suppose if it is as rare as claimed then it's a sort of classic.

I have seen these occasionally pop up in the classifieds. At the time of build I believe there was a substantial price premium over the C43. I'd be careful of paying too much of a premium now though, as the current C32 puts out the same BHP as the C55. For some reason the AMGs, although rare and high performance, don't seem to have a collectors market in the same way that original M3s, 635csi or 911RS derivatives do.

It's for sale here:

Interesting car, but if the C32 has the same performance I would imagine it's overpriced.

I don't suppose you would see another one on your daily trip to and from work though!

saw it there whilst looking at the Candy maroon Cobra they have there, I owned the C36 and loved the car, so was very interested in its authenticity and yes they were made for a short time benz.com i found out about it, must be quick with 360bhp as its not a heavy heavy car, but 25k for a 6 year old car

It's basically an upgrade to the C 43 sold at the time. As far as I can tell there are no external mods, but the engine goes up 1.2 litres in capacity and by 40 bhp. Compression up from 10.0 to 10.5:1. Claimed 0-100 km/h drops from 6.5 seconds to 5.5.
