SL350 - road holding/drive?
Discussion
Hi folks
Considering changing my car later in the year and want something which gives me more feel in terms of roadholding/driveability.
I'm after a 2 seater convertable with some oomph for a v short daily commute (3 days a week) and weekends/driving holidays on the Continent. The only other car I am considering at the mo is a Z4 (preferably M Sport).
How does the SL350 measure up in these terms? I currently have a DB9 Volante which is opulent as you would expect however is too soft for some spirited driving. I used to drive a TVR Griffith with upgraded suspension which gave me the road feel but without any refinement.
Any informed opinion would be welcome.

Had the SL55 3 days now and its far more planted than the DB9, my DB9 (06) was quite skittish on bumpy bends the SL less so however a 350 does not have ABC and that will be a factor.
I will say the interior of the SL isnt an Aston but its not as far away as you would think.
ABC is available on the 350 as an option, and as long as you educate the adaptive gearbox and drive accordingly (tiptronic mode when you want to drive in a really spirited fashion) then its certainly no slouch, at 320BHP its very similar in terms of performance to a 996.I will say the interior of the SL isnt an Aston but its not as far away as you would think.
