Just bought the above and find evidence of water in the boot; was dry before recent downpours. Advice/ideas, guess it ha happened before!

Water can run in when you open the boot and there's a lot standing on the lid.
Your drains are blocked.
Also there should be some little plastic doodads on the downward facing lowermost pointy bits of the boot lid on the inside (does this make sense?) - evidently these are important with regard to stopping leaks.

Thanks Dogstar.

The drains appear clear.
If I understand you correctly, the little plastic doodads on the downward part of the lid are there, presumably, there's nothing that can be done with them, they seem to be located correctly.
The leakage seems to be coming in from the top seal of the boot lid.
Spoken to Mercedes; approximately £320 to replace said seal but they say it could also be from the rear window seals and suggest I give them the car for an hour (and £89) for investigation! I shall do a little more investigation myself before going further.

Gilli, if you are not to far from Merc Stoke on Trent, speak to Malcolm, they will not charge
for investigation and will probably be cheaper to do the job.

Thanks everyone, problem appears resolved. Water was entering between rear screen and seal. Seal was removed and re-fixed with adhesive/sealant so far so good.
