S Class 2006+

Im looking for an S 500/550. Are they as peerless as the press say. The real deal. On paper they look fantastic. I used to own a BMW 745 which was like driving a magic carpet. Any experiences welcome and things to look out for. Id probably buy from a main dealer unless you can buy an extended warranty privately. Cheers

Loved mine. Did 30,000 miles in it all over the UK. No problems at all. Built like a bank vault. There is really a huge leap in quality going to an S from the other models. Gadgets were great too. I had a 320 CDI and it's more than quick enough and returned 33 mpg average, practically silent too.
