Goodbye SLK32AMG
Discussion
I have just sold one of the best cars I have owned. Good luck with it Paul, I hope you have as much fun with it as I did. A few thoughts:-
1. Full MBSH is definitely an asset. Before I purchased the car it underwent goodwill paint repairs at Hall, Graves, and Lee in Plymouth to rectify some rust problems. The quality of their workmanship was superb.
2. I also received very good service from Mercedes Benz Exeter. Including a free 'Health Check' where they visited me and spent an hour and a half going through the car without charge.
3. My car had been 'debadged'. Since other drivers of performance machinery appeared to have no idea what it was this produced quite a lot of amusement. This is the fastest accelerating car I have owned to date and represents an absolute bargain for the performance provided. I have previously owned a couple of 911s, TVRs etc.
4. The only failure I had, which I was not aware of until Paul noticed it, was the seat heater of the passenger seat. Ths is apparently not an expensive repair.
If you are thinking of buying one, do so. You will not regret it.

Sorry to hear that.
Had mine for 5 years now with no signs of getting rid of it. With the top down it is such a dream to drive with so much grunt but will drive slowly in traffic without any drama or discomfort. Also people see it and just see an SLK which suits me fine as I don't get hassled. I liked the engine so much I got a C32 as well which is also a great drive.
Are you getting an SLK55 AMG, they do look good - for me the interior plastics are a little scratchy but the engine is magnificent - enjoy.
