Hi - i am stuck in Spain with no flights and i have been offered a Mercedes E320 Elegance for 2900 EUR 1996 model to get me home - realise that is more than the car is worth - how much realistically could i sell this for in the UK , assume high mileage, no leather .

All down to condition, if OK as petrol £4-700. Diesel circa £1800 if say up to 120k. Approx trade prices.
Would it be better and cheaper to rent a car from Hertz or similar?

no its right hand drive 100k miles - no hire cars available , people in Spain needing to get back are buying cars as there does not seem to be many other choices. Rail between madrid and Paris 10 day lead time. Thanks for the responses

Its only worth £1000 to £1500, but difficult to get an accurate valuation on a car of that age. I'd budget for at least a £1k loss if you have to resort to buying that car and selling once back in UK. Do keep us updated.
