Can anyone tell me what items are replaced on an A Service with car having done 37000 miles? MB have quoted £259.84.Obviously oil and air filter but what else?

My car has full MBSH but I have noticed some rust on the front underside of the bonnet. Car was registered in July 2002. Is this likely to be covered under the paintwork rectification scheme?

Don't count on it - just had the more expensive B service on my SL55 and that didn't even include Air filters!

Indeed, no air filters.

All additional items like that are service extra's.

A service will be lights and levels check, tyre pressures, oil and filter, re-set your service light and a shiney MB stamp in your book.

Obviously they will have a good hunt round your vehicle and should report to you any other findings, up to you if you have any extra's etc done.

My car is 8 years old and in December had the warranty work done.
I believe the car needs to be less than 8 years old, full Mercedes service history
and has to be registered to the keeper for at least 6 months.
