Hi guys, I was clearing out an old farm shed earlier and came across a pair of headlights which my dad tells me were from a 1950s Mercedes Benz. They are wing mounted and look like they would be extremely hard to find for someone who needed a set! Granted they are not mint - surface rust has started and one is dented, but they would be easily restored given how rare they must be. Chrome and class are spot on.

Anyway enough rambling, I have done some googling to try to solve the dilemma for what actual model they relate to, and suffice to say I have only found one picture which resembles the lights but there is no model number mentioned anywhere on the website. Can any classic Benz enthusiasts enlighten me as to what it is and whether these lamps are worth anything (otherwise going into a skip!)

Cheers

Rob

Looks like a W136 170V. But I'm no expert on Mercedes.

Can you post or email me some pictures of the actual lamps and I can get them ID'd via the MBOC.

Don't skip them just yet !

Yes, the picture does seem to be a W136 170V.
