Can Someone Run A Reg For Me Please
Discussion
Had a look on the merc and HPI system for you, it's all clear on HPI, with only 2 previous owners although there is a mileage discrepancy listed. This is nothing too major to worry about as it could be just that someone has recorded the figures wrong on the v5 at change of ownership, just make sure everyting tallies with the service history etc. The spec from the factory is:
SL320
197 Obsidian Black
239 Helios Nappa Leather
Electric Front Seats
Wood/Leather Gearshift
Wood?leather Steering Wheel
Nokia 3110 Telephone on Centre Console
Mulit-Contour Front Seats
Electric Steering Column
ESP
Folding/Memory Exterior Mirrors
Rear Seats
Xenon Lights
644 5 Spoke 17" Alloy Wheels
Fire Extinguisher
Burr Walnut Wood Trim
Black Soft-Top
MB Audio 10 Sound System
1999 Model Year
Alpine CD Changer
Heated Front Seats
Hope this helps.

Pretty much a total specification, then, apart from ADS (adaptive damping system) suspension and exclusive leather (leather on the dashboard, doors, A pillars, header rail, pano top and just about anywhere else you can think of). The first you wouldn't want (expensive to maintain) and the second is hardly ever seen.
The wheels are nice but prone to corrosion.

Just back - this was a bit disappointing for such low low miles, the valeter couldnt get the interior clean enough and i expected it to be mint maybe naively ? it felt old as well - sad really i was ready to buy it.
I have really asked myself if im over fussy but at 22k miles it should be better than that IMHO
On the way back I dropped in on the sl500 designo blue / grey / special edition which felt a good car - im pondering it now
I really appreciate your input !

If it feels wrong it is wrong.
22k miles should feel brand new. And sure, helios is a very pale interior, but you want a car that has been cherished, not abused. Mine has 150k miles on and looks and feels brand new inside (java), even the seat bolster is unworn.
Very disappointing.
Is this of any interest? http://www.mercedes-benz.motortrak.com/detail?temp...

I spoke to Merc Brum about it - namely whos the photographer
Its a silver late model with std wheels, silver and std is too mainstream for me - I am now full onto the Designo Blue as mentioned in the other thread.
Im aiming to pay 12k with service and a few small jobs - I need to sort a few small trim critera but it hummed as the V8 does and it feels a bit special only one paint chip to tax the mobile guy with - hope he can match designo
I have to do my checklist on the car and if it fails on say seat motors, lazy windows (common I believe) etc then its not for me as I only want small cosmetic tasks - Im no mechanic (Im a phone system provider)
