190e 2.3 16v Engine trouble

Hi,

Need some advice on some engine trouble i'm having.

Basicaly, when I turn the engine over and give it some gas the engine cuts out all within about 3 seconds every time.

When fired up without pressing the gas the car will idle for longer, aprrox 6 sec every time before cutting out.

Plenty of fuel is getting into the engine.

Any suggestions??

Idle Control Valve I'd say - can't recall the exact price but £150 rings a bell?...try these chaps for a definitive answer.

Will it run if you keep the throttle open a bit?
