All I have to do is use a connecting wire from my ipod to the jack point on the very left side of the glove box and then it all runs through COMAND. This is on a 2003 clk so it may have changed.

Thanks Peter but there is no jack point in the new model. The book says insert the PCMCIA memory card but omits to advise where to obtain said item.
I popped into Dixons and the nice man there was lost as well. Mind you, it might have been better if I'd gone to a proper eletrical retailer..............
Cheers

I assume you have a new C/S or CL? Somewhere like Maplins will have a pcmcia cards for about £15, the pcmcia card will take an SD card with mp3's on that can then be transferred directly onto the hard-drive. You can also download MP3's onto a CD and transfer them directly onto the cars hard-drive.

Thanks guys. My 20 year old son returned from Uni tonight and has confirmed exactly what you said.
Ah, what it is to be getting old. Technology, pah.

I have a 2007 SLK and the COMMAND has an Aux socket in the glove box and a head unit that can play MP3s from a CD or DVD. It also has a DVD player in the boot for the SatNav DVD. Will this also have an inbuilt hard drive?
