Mercedes Benz customers invited to Donnington for a driving day , with the chance to try out their models around the track. Tuition from racing drivers ( I need it) and advanced driving skills advice given in a separate area.

Pisses me off no end that despite spending nearly 40k on a new merc I never got offered anythign like this.

I thought I was the only one that seemed to miss out on things like this. I spent a similar amount on an SLK280 AMG Sport (limited special edition) in 2007 and haven't been offered anything. I have also owned CLKs for previous 7 years and nothing offered.

Just ask nest time you're in showroom, or service centre. I know for a fact that one of the biggest problems the people who organize these events has is knowing who to ask/filling the spaces.

Also I've just found out today that its actually the 27th June!

An excellent day out, first class treatment all day. Gave 10 different cars a blast round the Donnington circuit, everything from a B class through to a S63 AMG. My best lap was in a ML63 AMG ( truly outstanding, physics defying car) had just started to rain so track was greasy, managed to slide it out of a few corners!
Once again a great day and I think Mercedes have just edged their way back in to my good books.
