Command system Sat Nav direction

Does anyone know how to get sat nav showing direction of travel upwards rather than all over the place? SL500 with TeleAtlas DX 2007/2008

This is something I'd also like to know - is it possible? I rode in a friends Honda recently and it was so much easier to follow with the arrow always pointing up.

There should be an option in the display menu when on the map screen. You need to change it to 'heading up' to keep the direction of travel at the top of 'north up' to keep the map stationary.

Thanks for the advice. I tried this last night and now have it pointing upwards regardless of direction being travelled - much better.

Do you turn maps around when looking at them? I think I would get muddled always having the direction of travel always pointing upwards (so it’s not a sarcastic question honestly).
