E55 running costs?
Discussion
Had my late 2003 E55 estate for 6 weeks so far. My advise would be buy from a main Mercedes dealer to get the 12 months tear 1 warranty Mercedes Uk then offer you an extra 24 months for £1746 unlimited but up to 100,000 miles. Takes most of the worry about parts costs away. So far I`ve done 2300 miles in mine at an average of 19.5 mpg, but thats been a lot of town driving. Back tyres are soon going to need replacing as well.
Spec wise with the estates you dont have a lot of choice if your looking for a low mileage car (mine had 24k on it) but i think you can be more picky with the salons. I think command is a must (may even be standard) metalic paint, parkatronic and key less go also helps.
I`ve had a lot of fast cars and the AMG is some thing else, never known a car to pull so strong but still be able to potter around with 5 kids and 2 adults on board.
