Hi Folks,
Does anyone know if W124 Leather non power seats are interchangeable. Ie, whip the passenger seat over to the drivers side and vice versa?
Thanks
Mike.

I wouldn't think so, as the centre armrest is mounted on the right side of the passenger's seat. There's also the manual adjustments which would need to be changed, and the plastic seat runner covers.

Mind you, I'm certainly not technically minded, so it's just an opinion smile

The backrests and squabs can be separated from the base, if that's any help

On the similar theme, I have a '94 W124 Estate which I've owned since new, and at 140k miles the bolster on the drivers side is starting to fray (and the seat squab to a lesser extent).

Can anyone advise on best economical repair/replacement(in beige cloth)?

Thx , Toby

A very common wear point on these.

Ultimately it depends how good you want it to look.

Some people put it into an upholsterer and have the seat recovered. You can still buy matching cloth from Mercedes.

If you just want to patch it then get a headrest from a breakers in the same material, unwrap it and get the seatpatched by an upholsterer.

Or you may get lucky and find a spare seat at the Breakers, but as they all wear on this bolster it's unlikely.
