Mercedes AMG SL 500 HELP

I have a Mercedes SL500AMG that was allegedly owned by the Sultan Of Bruei. The problem is I have very little history on the car. Does anybody know how to get in touch with AMG to confirm the history of the car in terms of verifying its AMG credentials, bhp, spec, etc? Any help or advice would be great.

What is your chassis number? With this information one can obtain a full build spec online.

I would treat it with a pinch of salt any way, my car is nothing like it should be acording to my vin number, Bose hifi , wrong, its got HK, ski loading inside, hasnt got it, 2 colour interior its only single, becker stereo, its got command, 70 ltr fuel tank , its 80 ltr. its also got elimination of ownership certificate but with coc papers, any ideas ?

Any idea why my vin isn't recognised on a 1991 500E?

Are workshop foreman use to work for the Sultan,
I will ask him tomorrow if he remembers it,

Sadly doesn't remember the SL500AMG as he did have a rather large collection of car's.
But does remember he had built by Mercedes AMG 140 series estate powered by the V12 AMG motor called the 555 series because of the 555bhp at the rear wheel's.
All copyright's are held by the Sultan.
If fact he had quite a few V12 powered Merc's.

I would give the service dept at Tony Purslow, Guildford a call as they have worked on the ex-Sultan AMG SL73

Odds are that they may be able to point you in the right direction

Ah hello, I is de Sultan of Brunei, I glad you enjoy the car, am having fond memory of it, was good car, very reliable and much use for herding camels in desert. I mostly use the car for favourite sport of sand dune jumping, I have record of 100' and 2 barrel roll before catch fire. Oh and if you find wallet in glove box please can you return, you can keep the $4 million but it had my lucky condom in and I miss it very much.
