W140... should I?

Been offered a 92 w140 500 sel... now question is should i?
It's got a full history, 116k miles, drive like a dream only thing not working is soft close, pumps gone.
I'm so very tempted, is it a viable option, only doing 5k a year petrol isn't an issue at moment, so do i dump the saab and go big barge?

No reason not to, the engine bits will be a bit pricey but everything else will be fine. It'll need things like engine mounts and suspension bushes here and there.

The pumps are vacuum operated, you may find its just perished lines or blocked filters.
