Looking to buy a SL

Hi all,

Im looking at buying a Merc SL. Want a car about 1995 ish. What is the best engine to look for? I see they are from 2.8 to 6.0.
Any advice on what to look for and what goes wrong?

Can you fit kids in the back seats? My kids are 5 and 3 years old.

Do you know I have just been looking at those on Autotrader, but I didn't think there were rear seats in them.

There has been a few threads about this including some detailed write ups - the seats were an option (I found them very handy if bringing others for short trips)

Some of them have been for sale for a while now so may be room for barter

My biggest tip? Service history - including receipts!
