Saw a massive ad for one on a billboard. They've completely fked the cars beautiful looks.

Update> E Class 63 (black) sitting at Sainsburys in Aberdeen at lunchtime. Cars like this are keeping oil companies going!

Looks like the boys from the Mitsubishi Evo makeover team have been busy!

Not a car for white.

I must be on my own on this but I quite like that. Wouldn't buy it in white but like it all the same.

Agreed, the front sits awkwardly on the soft sides.

For some reason the front end reminds me of a classic sl.

I think the white hides the very confused and 'busy' front end

Had a look around one at Top Marques - my god, they are ugly in the flesh and do not sit with the largely unmodified rear section

Saw it at MB World. It will sell very well in the US esp amongst the community who particularly listen to rap. Just stick a racing wing on the boot. With neons.

The original was a stunning car, this is a shame I must admit.

Maybe just not a photogenic car and/or one of those that with time, is a bit of a grower?

It's funny but despite their dismissal at the hands of a million and one 'hairdresser' jibes, I wandered across the path of a stationary SL55 AMG t'other day: with the turbine wheels, I still would, know what I mean, nudge, nudge, wink, wink?

The previous design was the first lustworthy Mercedes since the 60s, I think.

.......and with turbine wheels.

A matter of preference.

Turbine wheels look a bit too small, but I wouldn't say no. Especially for the fact they sound like a damn meschersmit! biggrin
