Just bought a 280SE W126.

I have just bought a 1984 280SE and have brought it back from Essex. I have to say the car is beautiful. I have bought it as a rolling restoration and cant believe how good the car is to be driven in. (Don't get my License back until July)The last owner bought the car in 1986 and has kept it ever since. I really love this car. It has every stamp in the book up until January 2008 and has only done 500 miles since then. The car has good mileage. Just turned 130,000 as we drove home. There are a few rust issues as the car lived outside but have noticed that there seems to be a reasonable supply of parts.
Has anyone got any tips for looking after the car?
The dash has split in two places. I would use a smart repair specialist to do this for me but has anyone got any other ideas?
Any comments, ideas or tips would be truly appreciated.

Congratulations - I love these. My Dad had one back in the 80s.
