2009 E Class

I'm considering leasing an E280cdi for 3 years from this summer.

I'm aware that the new model is planned for next year but wondered just how fundamental the changes are likely to be and whether I would kick myself for getting an 'old' model

Will be a whole new model, the engine line-up will probably stay the same but thats about it.

any view on when the estate version will hit the showrooms?....like to know how long I'll have to drive around in the 'old' model if I do order an E for this summer

btw, I've got a C220cdi Sport at the moment and it doesn't really float my boat...hence the renewed interest in the E

The estate usually follows about 10 months later; as with the C-Class. So expect a saloon in April 09 and an Estate in Feb'10.

cheers - what I needed to hear

so, basically, if I order an E280 Sport Estate (which seems likely) this month, I'll have the best part of 18mths before the new one appears...which is long enough to make it worthwhile

the E is so much nicer than the C IMO......
