W124 SERVICE SCHEDULES

Anybody know what the schedule is for a 320 ? What milage are the major services and how major are they ? theres no cambelt of course so are they that bad ?

The W124 320 cars are serviced every 9,000 miles with filters done every 18,000 miles. You are correct, these engines are chain driven. If it is a very high mileage car, then the chain can wear. Gearbox services are done every 36,000 miles
Some W124 320 were prefacelift (square chrome grill). I'm not sure if these early cars had the original 6,000 mile service interval, despite being the later engine. Hopefully another PHer can confirm either way
