Finally done it !

Booked my SL55 in with DMS today, they are coming to me next week to do the ecu upgrade, change the pulley on the supercharger and a full de-limit.
Been quoted "over 600 bhp" and approx 650 ft lb of torque, and well over 200 mph !!
Can"t wait to see what the transformation is like.

Well lets see, similar power to a SL65, 87ish less fpt, 140ish kilos lighter...
A close run thing I would say.

Now who has a standard SL65? and we must encourage him to attend as

I presume you use the 2 mile straight for the runs ?

Yes indeed, about 1.6miles to the timing beams and .4ish to stop.

Rob and Martin from DMS came up today to do my SL 55 and all is as described in my 1st post.
What a transformation, the car is like a bloody missile !! makes my Noble M400 seem slow.
Got him to do my sons Seat leon TDI and my wifes ML 320 CDI and the difference on those 2 is very good aswell.
Gonna take it along to the VMAX this year as long as it doesn"t clash with any testing or racedays in 2008 and see what my 55 can do.
Rob reckons it will hit 190mph ish at the 1.6 mile mark.
What sort of speeds do other cars hit there at 1.6 miles ?

Its been just over a week now since the work was done by DMS and I am blown away by the difference it has made to my car. Having come up against some serious cars on the road and having a bit of fun (safely I might add in a straight line) there is very little that can match this cars performance now.
Just wanted to say a big thankyou to Rob and his team at DMS and also just to say that for the price of this conversion, it was a no brainer as I was very close to spending 80k plus my car, for a car that would have been a dissapointment in comparison.

I now can now echo your enthusiasm. DMS have now attended to my S600biTurbo.
Its changed from a very quick big saloon, to a rediculasly insanely fast big
saloon and the change in engine noise tone is outstanding. Also now fully delimited, look out for Merc Limo silly speeds at the next but one VMax.
