Has anyone experienced a grounding/scraping noise whilst going over speed bumps in these? Took mine in to the garage today and they said "all is fine, perhaps its just the way I drive over them????" which sounded strange.

is it just me? or has anyone else experienced it? could possibly be because the nose of the car is quite long???

Cheers

Hi

I picked up mine the other day and not grounded it yet. I have been over lots of lumps as I'm in Central London. Mine has a button that raises the car an inch if I think it looks a bit high.

Sorry I know thats not a lot of help.

Got a CLS320CDI in 2006, and there are two speed bumps in the drive to my house. Every time I went over them (always slowly) I got the noise you describe, from the suspension, not from grounding. The dealer completely rebuilt the front suspension - despite finding nothing wrong - including fitting new shock absorbers under warranty. Absolutely no improvement, and it never got any better or any worse over the next 40,000 miles. The guy driving the car now tells me it still does it, with 80,000 on the clock.

My current GL, and my wife's ML also make the same noises over the bumps, one on air, one on steel springs........
