I heard a rumour that there may be a DSG version of a gearbox available in the AMG soon? Presumably, this will include the SLK. Anyone know if there is any basis to this? Might go some way to correcting the c**p box (in manual mode) they have now.

Thanks

Hallo,

I think you must switch to the new SLK 350, it is not a DSG, but the usual
auto like Aston et al, otherwise it is the C63 etc.
Unfortunately the SLK 55 is an unknown and rather efficient "Girl" as my wife
and I know it,,,but you can still help the autobox, when changing down the
gear(s) blipping the throttle, can be hairy sometimes ;-)
...know your car...and put some other brake-pads on it as well as an LSD,
then it is a rough diamond

.....

I thnk it is the new AMG SL63 which comes with a new system, no torque converter, very quick changes up and down...

A friend of mine gets the car in April, 1st one on the road :-))
