E300 TD, LACKING POWER

IVE GOT A 98 E300 TD , IT FEELS LIKE THE TURBO HAS STOPPED WORKING, IS THERE ANY THING THAT I CAN CHECK MY SELF . PIPES ETC THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THIS , OR DO THEY HAVE ANY COMMON FAULTS ? THE CAR HAS HIGH MILES BUT FSH AND THE ENGINE IS PERFERCT .

can it be fixed easily or is it a new turbo?

Check the MAF.

Also, there are 2 transducers, one for the EGR, one for hte turbo. The EGR one is next to the ABS pump (small black cylinder with 3 pipes). The turbo one is underneath the airbox.

They are identical. Try swapping them over.
