I've now owned my 1988 190E 2.6 for 2-3 months now, the first month it was in the bodyshop being restored! it is a full cossworth but with the 2.6 lump, Dark gray with 18" AMG's, i've just had a full sevice done and more and she's running very well, (and very quick)
Dose anyone know of any known faults with them i know common things but maybe bloodyniceben could help as i live in Brighton!

Are you sure it's not just a kitted up 2.6...does it have the auxilliary gauges for instance and either the full leather or dogtooth seats?

The real thing can be bought for reasonable money you know.

The 2.6 engine is pretty much bulletproof. I looked at several 2.6s some years ago that had 180,000 miles on the clock and still running fine. Bit heavy on fuel and a little nose-heavy but a great cruiser

Your not wrong it's such a smooth ride, and yes it has everything full leather the lot, I'm more intrested in quality the car is mint only been out the body shop 3 weeks, engien has common faults like weeping a little but after a massive service, it fly's! I do love the cossworth's but i'v always been different hence the nova shown!

The short motor is pretty much bullet prof, the water pump's can fail same sa 24v engine, exh manifold studs in the head can corrode and cause gasket blow's,headgaskets are known to fail but not common,
sorry but it fly's????????????? i never thought they were fast at all.
