Restoration help for a 1985 SL 500 Convertible
Discussion
Early last year i brought my self a 1985 107 chassis type SL 500 Converible. It's a beautiful straight car with very low ownership and mileage. To cut a long story short, i have thought it to be worth while restoring it back to a very high standard. It is booked in with a body shop for a complete respray. At the moment the car is silver with a dark grey finish below the door mouldings half way down the side of the car, which to be honest looks rather good. But i asume this is not original? My question is, Would the have been silver all over when it had left the factory? And i will also need to order a few trim parts ect, so are there any good websites you know of that may help? And any other general help or advice?!
