Does anyone know if there is a dog guard available from anywhere which will fit these cars as the dog seems to want to jump over into the back seat all the time.

Its a 56 plate if that makes any difference

Thanks

I take it your referring to the Sport Coupe, not the CLS, as MB model range confuses me. I think of mine as the C class hatchback.

I'm surprised your having a problem, I frequently have a athletic Labrador in the back of mine and it's one of the few cars she hasn't tried to get over the back seat.

Can't really help with your question, but we have a C class sports coupe, and I don't think it would be too difficult, with a bit of imagination, to rig some kind of DIY guard up, as the gap between the top of the rear seats and roof lining is fairly small.....

Thanks for the replies, We have a 5mth old German pointer who keeps trying to come through the middle of the head rests. I think its only a short term prob as I think in a few months he will be too big to fit through! We just dont want the muddy paws on the leather!

yes it is a c class coupe not a cls unfortunately!

Cheers

Could you wrap some something like a luggage net between the head restraints (in raised position). That should temporarily solve the problem until your dog is too big, or has got it out of the habit.

At least paw prints can be readily wiped off leather. The dogs made the car expensive for me, I wouldn't have bothered with the leather and sunroof if had been just for me.

I prefer the size of the Sport Coupe compared to the CLS, why do I want to hump all that extra metal around.

Just to finish this thread off in case anyone else ever has this problem.

There is no official Mercedes guard as per Technical dept.

I have found a Guard made by Mont Blanc (paddy hopkirk) which fits onto the back of the headrests and although not perfect does the job. I tried net/cords but wasnt strong enough and was deforming the headrest.

Anyway thanks for the input
