Any technians willing to cast some light on my merc?
Discussion
Took my Merc CL into the main dealers today because when i shut the doors, the windows dont go up and join the roof as they should. They told me they couldnt find what waas causing the problem and would need to rebook for further investigation. Charged me £110 and im no better off. Cheers merc!
It seems to have done it since the battery went flat i think. But could be nothing to do with that i suppose. Anyone any ideas?

Demand your money back and tell them to stick their heads under a passing bus if they are Mercedes specialists.
Then, in a relaxed manner, have the windows wound down to minimum, holding the button for a couple of seconds. Now wind the windows up to maximum, holding the button for a couple of seconds. If that works, mine's a pint.
ETA: holy shit. You DID write main dealers. I hope I'm right. In which case, I will be laughing and you should name and shame.

Not giving any details, but I had cause to use Mercedes' rescue service, and it was STRONGLY recommended to me by rescue man that Europa are an excellent outfit to deal with, and they behave with courtesy and care for the customer and his car. That's where I'll be taking my business in future.
Christ, like Ninja said, resetting them is simple once they get out of synch.
If it persists, the wiring looms are getting more and more stretched.
I'm finding more and more good Merc technicians are leaving and setting up shop on their own. The good ones want to fix cars, not throw oil filters in and spend 3 hours a day doing write ups.
I'm beginning to think a sticky MB specialist on the top here might be in order, how about it ? Would it be against the advertising rules ?
Every other post on here seems to be 'Any good specialists in XYZville ?

Well, I can certainly recommend one in Portsmouth with easy access from London/Surrey via the A3...
That'd be a long way to go! I consider my sub 35 mile journey to my specialist to be trek! Mind you, there's some nice forest you can through, and blooy deep gorge somewhere on the A3 near the Portsmouth end. Great views from one particular corner!

Oh, it is so easy to get to. I'm in the Kingston area. Join the A3, come off just before Portsmouth, turn right, first left, up slope. Into garage!
Reverse, having written off someone else's Mercedes. Make lots of apologies. Exchange insurance details. Make mental note to park outside garage next time.
