just paid deposit, are they troublesome?

hi everyone, i have just put down a depsit on a 2004 54 MERCEDES-BENZ C CLASS C220 CDI Elegance SE Auto estate, it has larger front disc brakes full leather etc.. i hadnt checked up before hand about reliability, i have since read about them on different sites and all does'nt sound great. there seems to be many problems with electrics etc.. the other car i considered was a 2004 54 bmw 320 sport estate which i actually prefered but the value seems to depreciate alot more, are the mercs troublesome, any replys much appreciated before i hand over the cash

Not a version prone to troubles. Make sure it has full MB service history, unless that is reflected in the price.

its just had its 'B' service at 74000miles, all merc service history

I believe the quality improved with the later, facelifted cars.
