Driving my wifes ML320 yesterday, I gave it some gas the kick down went OK but after the engine seemed to loose power and fell very lumpy. I pulled over and reved the engine, it was very lumpy. Turned it of for 30 seconds, started it up, every thing OK again. Any ideas, possible MAF issue?

The MAF went on our CLK320 not to long ago - symptoms where car running fine for 80-90% of the time, then sometimes under aceleration it would struggle and gear changes seemed all over the place. Kick down was delayed and would almost cut out at times (did actually cut out once or twice)

Took it to a Merc specialist, new MAF - all sorted. Ours is a 2001 320.
