I have a W123 240D lwb which was used for the Czechwrecks banger rally last year. We grew to love the car so much we brought it home again with a view to doing another event this year. The brakes however were woefully inadequate in the days we spent driving the Alpine passes to the extent that we had to find alternative routes and even loaded the car onto a train at one point!
Are there any better brakes available for the W123? For example, did the coupe version come with vented discs? Or will discs and calipers from another model (W124?) fit without too much hassle? Any advice appreciated.
