I have a 06 model ML320CDI and am looking at getting it remaped, does anybody have 1st hand information of this or could you reccomend who to use and if possible who to avoid, also what gains can i expect? And is it worthwhile getting done?

Thanks
Craig

Have you thought about the Brabus upgrade? At least it will not interfere with your warranty.

Yes I have thought about that option, But I think thats is a lot to pay for what is afterall just a "tuning box", but I realise it keeps the warrenty though.
I am wanting as much imformation as possible from anybody who has had remaps, tuning box etc etc done to that model before i decide if i will go ahead and what route I will go.

Cheers Craig

Have used these tuning boxes before very easy to install if you are slightly mechanically minded.

Completely removable and just plugs inline under the bonnet.

Website is in French but easy enough to navigate and a lot cheaper than the Brabus route.

Ebay normally has a few suppliers listing them too.

Also there is UK / English link on the site but playing up at the moment?

The gains vary for each car but the website does tell you.

Have used them on a 330d Sport and a new shape S320 CDi, very noticeable and worthwhile

£1700 roughly
Too much I think for basically a tuning box.

Have you had a ML320 thats been done by Chipped UK? As the local dealer near me for them couldnt do the car, They scrubbed the memory from my ML when they tried after a lot of attempts, but luckily enough he knew a Mercedes Technician who could upload the standard map back onto my car without it going back to the dealers and me trying to explain what happened, when he eventually got an explanation from Chipped UK, they informed him that they thought they could do it but it would have to be done at their premises which wasnt convenient for me and kind of put me off them, but saying that they were able to do an Audi diesel engine easily enough with good allround improvements.

All thoughts and experiences would be much appreciated

Thanks
Craig

DMS...used loads of times...just upgraded our GL320 and ML420. Improves the performnace on the GL noticeably...ML420 is a monster.

Great service on your site, and free reloads if ever you suspect it has been overwritten.

Touch wood, in 6 or 7 cars not had a problem with any of their remaps. Worth every penny.
