My mate has been offered a set of 17" rims from a 2002 slk v6 for his diesel c coupe. he rang the dealers to see if the would fit and was told that they would not recomend it. But would not give any good reason.

Cheers

I believed, in theory, you can use swap most Mercedes wheels about models (obviously depending on brake size). You could need spacers, and quite possibly different length bolts. Maybe it could play up with ABS sensors? (It's been known when wheels have been changed on '124 E-Classes).

I don't any of this for a fact, just throwing ideas around. I guess other PHers can correct me smile

http://www.mercedeswheels.net/

Check the offsets there, on the C Class the wheels are VERY close to the calipers.

Rather than save a few £, price the proper wheels up - they aren't as much as you'd expect.
