190e auto gearbox help?

Hi all,

i have a 190e 2 litre petrol,1991. yesterday, whilst in london the car broke down. i can still select reverse gear and 1st, but when you drive it the revs incre3ase and it disent change gear.

anyone got any ideas, am i looking at new gearbox or torque convertor ??

Have you checked the oil level in the gearbox?

yes mate, gearbox oil level seems fine..............
