Hi Guys
The wife has just picked up a 2007 A Class Elegance
i was wondering how easy is it to fit an ipod.

Is it true that theres a connection in the glovebox
that you can simply plug into.

Thanks for your help.

There was a model year change to add a 3.5m Aux jack in the glovebox - worth having a look to see if you have it as then you only need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack, plug it into the headphone socket, e=select Aux on the stereo and you are in business.

Just about to pick-up a new ML and asked how much for the IPOD install. It lists at £200 in the dealer options BUT been told that's just for the kit. Add another £200 to install and then add VAT. !! Oh right! Are there other kits available - or is it back to the dealer and shell out yet more dosh?
Cheers

Same as above Graham - do you have COMAND fitted as if so, you will have the 3.5mm jack in the glovebox as well.

All 07 model year cars should have a jack in the glovebox regardless of if it has COMAND or not. The difference with the integration kit is that you can use the steering wheel controls to change track etc and it charges the ipod. I know it's about £400 fitted, but thats not much more than a 6cd changer at £360.
