New E-Class

Was just wondering if anyone has heard or seen anything about the new e-class.
My Parents are just about to get one probably a e270 estate, but I wanted to check that a new model wasnt expected in 3 months time.

The dealer told us not until end of 09.

Any ideas

2009 intro as a 2010 model is about right. Google for W212.

The 270CDi engine engine hasn't been fitted in the current E Class (W211) since (I think) early 2005.

The W211 (current) E-Class got a facelift last year - you can tell the front bumper has a slight angle now in the centre.

New model W212 is expected in 2009 - that could mean the launch is 09 but availability in 2010. Normally there is a seven year cycle (old W210 was 1995-02)

Just purchased a new e-class and asked dealer very same question and he also said 2-3 years, If you believe a car salesman that is.
