Hi chaps, just a quickie i have a 1999 300TD E class, the heater plug light has just started coming on after the car is started, and stays on for about 15 seconds, whats the reason for this.

No its not. They have a habit of sticking, and snapping off. Then its either drill them out, or remove the head.

Leave it to an indie to do this job.

Done mine twice on my car , little spray of WD 40 when the engine is still a bit warm and just a case of taking it easy.

Thanks chaps,

Done 3 myself the other 3 will not budge, so its going to have to go into my mates garage, because they are going to snap, and i could`nt take the risk with it sat on my drive. Not that much of an easy job either, you need hands as small as a childs to get under the inlet manifold to undo the down pipe.
Seems the 3 i changed cured the problem anyhow, so no rush to get the other 3 done.

Steve.
