Im about to Buy a Mercedes E320 diesel. Auto tiptronic. In Avant garde spec. It has all the usual refinements. plus full Nav. And phone kit ect. Are there any Things to look out for and how good/economical are these cars ? Thanks !
Sorry should have said its a 2003 with 52k miles

ah, ok. My wife has an 06 320 cdi sport, and for an estate it's really surprising, the handling is excellent. Was gonna say that the mpg is worse than i would have thot, tho she always drives in sport mode, and does mostly short trips. The computer says 25mpg. (or of course it could be that she always thrashes the nuts off it eek

Either shes thrashing it or its faulty. My 300TD gets better mpg than that smile

My w210 E320 CDI does mainly short trips and the average consumption is around 33-34mpg

official urban mpg is 26.7, so it's not far off... especially when u consider that my occasional use probably pulls the average down somewhat wink ( 0-60 in 7secs in a diesel estate... love it!)
