Cheap Merc diesel required folks, keep em peeled for me
Discussion
I need to get my mits on an oil burner - merc to be precise to go with (or maybe chop in) the old faithfull 190. Not bothered if W124 or another 190. Mega miles are going to be covered in the near future so it'll need to be mechanically ok. Not too bothered about how it looks.
Oh, and as cheap as possible as well (don't want much do I )
Thanks Chaps.
Mike.

i have a w210 e300d returns about 400 miles on £50 its the non turbo they only produced them for 12 months before putting a turbo on. you can easily see why too, you can't go anywhere in a hurry, but straight 6 smooth and will do over a ton (where permitted of course ) in near silence... and they cost buttons now 1996 is the year you want. value, seen plenty for 2.5-4k would sell mine for 3K but i'm not quite done with it.

Thanks Satsuma, but after something a bit leggier and cheaper, probably the way to go, something like yours in the long term though. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1986-Mercedes-Benz-250D-salo...
