SLK 230K Auto Oil Leakages

Does anyone know of any common oil leaks on this model? Its a year 2000 with 60K.

Hi,

It will have the 722.6 5-spd auto box. There is a known issue with ATF leaking out of a connector on the box, with oil being introduced into the wiring loom.

There is a revised part with a new seal to cure this problem.

Is there a reason for you asking - ie have you noticed an oil leak or is the level low etc?

Hi Will,

Thanks for your response. I've noticed some oil on the block just to the right of the dip, behind what looks to be the coolant pump. Looks to be fresh as well.
