I have been looking to have the above work done on my car and was put in touch with a company whom I spoke with today.
They claim 560 bhp and 800 ft lb of torque !! all for what I consider to be a very good price.
What bothers me is.. would the standard drivetrain cope with that monstrous power ?
They do it by taking the ecu out and re-mapping it.
Thoughts please.
Tony.

Hi Tony, I would say 560bhp is plausible but 800fpt certainly is not!!
They are probably talking Nm torque 800Nm=about 590fpt.
Also for 560bhp the ECU would be reprogrammed and a smaller pulley wheel needed for the S/C.
The drive train would have no problems with these figures.

Who are you using Tony? I'd be grateful if you'd let me know the outcome as I might be interested in doing the same. Email me if you prefer.

Also try Kleemann for comparison on £'s spent to power gained, and in Kleemann's case that will be real BHP.

Took mine to DMS... 580bhp and 600lb of torque and de-limited... which was a chip and pulley upgrade... cost me about 3.5k which I thought wasn't bad value!

Nubbin,
Its a local company in bucks but I havent got round to booking it in yet. As posted earlier 560 bhp, took advice from mercedes and agreed that 700 ft lb of torque would be more than enough, de-limit and pulleyupgrade for the supercharger, all for £970 + vat.

Thanks Tony. Please post on here to let us know how you get on. The price is pretty amazing! Do they know if it would affect a warranty? (Or did Mercedes say anything when you asked them?)

Nubbin,
Not sure if it affects the warranty but my guess is that as it is a software upgrade, it would be un-detectable. ( famous last words )
